Our Work

REL Northwest’s mission is to build the capacity of our regional stakeholders to use data and research evidence to address everyday problems of practice. Toward that end, we conduct rigorous studies that are aligned with stakeholder needs and regional priorities: from examining the implementation of early warning systems to analyzing on-time graduation rates for different groups of students to defining postsecondary trajectories. Topics are identified by our research alliances so that the research reflects real-world issues of concern to our partners. Studies employ strong designs and appropriate analytic methods to obtain reliable, actionable findings. The work is thoroughly reviewed by external peers and vetted by the Institute of Education Sciences to ensure practitioners and policymakers receive clear, useful, and scientifically valid findings.
